This year's Conference at Portsmouth and Southsea was the best yet!! Thanks to everyone who took part in the Halloween Night Regions Entertainment Show. I know what a lot of time and effort was put into your performances and it was worth it. The show was great!
The Fancy Dress Competition was won by Kath Duffy and John Andrews. It was good to see so many of you taking part and enjoying yourselves.
The Court gave everyone a thorough review of what the charity has been doing in the last 12 months; from helping those in the trade facing a crisis right through to the progress of our schools, including our special school for children with Autism and Aspergers'. Thank you to everyone who presented me with a donation at the meeting, I know how hard it is to raise this money and I really do appreciate all your hard work.
Banquet night was a great success - the food was good and I really enjoyed the band. For the second year running they kept the dance floor full from beginning to end.
Special thanks to my friends from the East Midlands Federation and Mansfield Auxiliary who came to Conference to support me and my family. It was lovely to have you with me.
My thanks must go to Angela and Gill back in the office for all their hardwork behind the scenes. The Fundraising and Conference Committee hope you enjoyed this year and look forward to reading your comment forms.
