CHAMPAGNE BREAKFAST IN KENT - 23RD AUGUST

Thank you to the West Kent Fundraising Committee for inviting my mum and I to your Champagne Breakfast.  We really enjoyed ourselves. 

It was great to see some of the Denham Residents and to speak to them about the 'Good old Days' when fundraising was easier and Beer was good for you!

The icing on the cake were  the wonderful cheques I received from you all for the Licenced Trade Charity.  I can assure you that every penny will go to help our beneficiaries.

What a fantastic day!!

Hope you had a wonderful time like me at Tiger Tiger!  Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a special fun day.

Thanks to Jeff Booth (dad) and John Andrews for all your hard work making the event go with such a bang.

And the best bit - we raised over £1200 for the Charity.  Can't wait till next year!

Lunch in London with the 50/50 Club

On Monday 4th July Jim Brewster and I were invited to attend the Annual 50/50 Club Lunch in London at Magdelin's Restaurant.

The day started with a trip around Churchill's London, a historic tour of London during the Blitz.  Very informative and enjoyable.

On to the Restaurant where we enjoyed a beautiful meal in pleasant surroundings.  Well done to John Madden who was announced as the next President of the Club.

Many thanks to June Leeming and Joanne McClouchlin for inviting us and thank you for the cheque you presented to me at Hassocks.  This money will be spent on fictional books for the library there.
